RoHS and REACH often appear together in product compliance documents, but one cannot simply replace the other.

Start by Identifying the Components Added by the Electronic Functions
A Digital Display product may include a display, sensor, power supply or other electronic components. The exact structure depends on the specific model.
When reviewing RoHS applicability, the first step is to identify which electrical or electronic parts the product contains. It is also necessary to confirm which components or models the relevant documents actually cover.
Simply describing the whole faucet as a “RoHS Product” is not enough.
REACH has a different scope from RoHS.
A digital display basin faucet may contain metal, plastic, rubber, surface-treatment materials and electronic components. Therefore, having RoHS documentation does not remove the need to review the relevant REACH requirements.
The More Complex the Product, the More Important the Link Between Documents and the BOM
A supplier may provide RoHS or REACH documents, but that alone does not prove that the current product is covered.
It is more important to check which product the document applies to, which materials or components it covers, and whether it matches the current model.
If the material, electronic module or supply source changes, the original document may also need to be reviewed again.
A traditional mechanical faucet usually has a relatively straightforward BOM. Once a display or other electronic functions are added, the number of component types and possible change points increases.
For the type of product development discussed on the YOROOW website, RoHS and REACH are better treated as two separate compliance-management issues.
First understand what each requirement addresses. Then connect those requirements to the materials, electronic components and version management of the current product.
