When the same faucet category covers several price segments, one common problem is that the prices are different but the reasons to choose each product are almost the same. Effective price segmentation should not begin by deciding how many SKUs belong in the entry, mid-range and higher tiers. It should begin by defining what each tier is expected to offer, and then selecting products that fit that role.
Entry-Level Products Need a Clear Position

A higher-priced product needs a more complete value proposition, where material, finish, design, function and user experience support the same positioning. It should not simply combine every available option into one SKU.
Build Product Differences Before Building Price Differences
When planning price segments, compare products within the same category side by side.
What basic need does the entry-level model address? What meaningful value does the mid-range model add? Why would someone move to the higher tier?
If the three levels remain difficult to distinguish after the price labels are removed, the problem is probably not pricing. It is the product structure itself.
A healthy price architecture is therefore not about dividing products evenly into low, middle and high groups. Each tier needs a clear reason to exist. Price should reflect meaningful product differences rather than create artificial product levels.
